It didn't take long for Evelina to warm up to us, especially after shooting her family portrait session during this past fall season. (See a slideshow of their family portrait session at the bottom of this blog post).

Like most little one's, Evelina came in the studio shy at first but by the time we starting photographing she sat perfectly like a little angel. When we put out the cake for her to dig in, she wasn't overly interested and her mom, Ana, certainly didn't push the issue which made it fun to see just how Evelina would react all on her own. What we love about the first birthday cake smash sessions is to see the initial reaction the kids have when they first see a cake and to see how the toddlers will execute their "cake smash." Evelina was so adorable and already full of manners, she wouldn't get overly involved with the cake until we gave her a fork, so cute!
